Salary: £120 – £144 per day
Worldwide travel company based in London urgently seeks a bi-lingual / multi-lingual Helpdesk Associate / 1st line Support Analyst to join their team on a 3mth contract basis.
Responsible for the investigation and resolution of software and hardware problems encountered by internal computer users, the Helpdesk Associate / 1st Line Support Analyst will be required to answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming telephone, voicemail, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing a wide-range of technical issues.
You will work with users to collect information about problems and lead the user through diagnostic procedures to determine source of error. You`ll determine whether problem is caused by hardware such as modem, printer, cables, or telephone, and handle problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for routine user problems, referring more complex problems to supervisor or more technical staff. You`ll also log and tracks calls using problem management database, and maintain history records and related problem documentation.
The Helpdesk Associate / 1st Line Support Analyst role will also require you to consult with programmers to explain software errors or to recommend changes to programs, and call software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products. You`ll test software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid user in performing work, and train users on software and hardware on-site or in classroom.
To perform this job successfully, the Helpdesk Associate / 1st Line Support Analyst must have experience with Windows desktops and operating systems and be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Windows Intel based desktop/laptop hardware is preferred, and knowledge of Apple Mac and Mac OS would be great to have also. You must show a willingness to take initiative and follow-through, and be able to provide hands-on support and remediation in a timely fashion. Previous experience with SCCM is required, and a second spoken European language (ideally French, German or Spanish) is preferred.
