Formulation Chemist

Salary: £32,400 – £36,000 per year

One of our Clients based in Stockport is looking to recruit a Formulation Chemist to join their business.

Formulation Chemist role description:

• Formulation development for textiles finishes
• Introducing new formulations in the mixing and coating plant
• Testing of the physical and mechanical properties of the product
• Providing documentation of development work in a clear and logical format
• Understanding of the dispensing and mixing systems
• Colour matching and corrections
• Failure investigation
• Laboratory staff training
• Assisting laboratory manager with daily duties
• Maintain the internal quality procedures, e.g. SOP, Risk Assessment, COSHH
• Carry out day-to-day laboratory tests

– Previous experience in coating or paint manufacturing is essential;

– MSc Chemist degree would be an advantage.
