£26,000 per year

We are seeking operatives for production warehouse and picking and packing work. The shifts are either daytimes 7am to 7pm or nights 7pm to 7am, working 3x 12 hour shifts a week, 36 hours per week.
This work is ongoing until Christmas.

Duties include:

• Picking and Inspection – to maintain our quality standards through the identification and removal of defective product, and maintaining product safety, through the identification of foreign material
• Packing – the inspection of pack quality and packing of finished product into cases in line with customer specifications whilst maintaining line speed
• Multi-Packing – the inspection of pack quality and packing of finished product onto the multipack in line with customer specifications whilst maintaining line speed
• Stacking – checking of finished case quality and coding whilst stacking the cases onto pallets safely to the specified pattern, requiring an element of manual handling
• Case Erecting – use of a schedule for the identification of cases to be used and correct erecting of cases to maintain a supply to the line
• Packing Hall Cleaning – safe and hygienic clean down of equipment and area
• Potato Inspection – removal of poor standard potatoes and foreign materials and reducing size of large potatoes

And you will be expected to:
• Follow systems of working that ensure the safety of staff, the safety of the product and in accordance with customer specifications
• Cleaning and housekeeping duties as required ensuring the clean as you go standards are maintained
• Accurate completion of documentation as required by the quality system
• Reporting of faults, non-compliances, process problems and poor product to the appropriate person in a timely manner
• Any other reasonable duties as required
