* Flexographic Print operative experience is essential.
* Experience with Wide Web printing is essential
* Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong work ethic and keen to progress.
* Solution focussed, a team player and shares ideas to improve.
* A keen eye for detail and target driven (big focus on improving productivity).
Flexographic Print Operator / Team Leader
The Role
You will be responsible for setting and operating the Print equipment efficiently and effectively. Your other duties will include…
* Assist with any Maintenance needs in the Print department ensuring the plant and machinery is in safe working order and running efficiently at all times contacting Engineers if necessary
* Ensure the Company’s Quality Control Procedures relating to the Print Department are adhered to, identifying any non-conforming goods.
* Mark reels appropriately identifying the reason for faults by completing a reel end, labelling and adding to quarantine
* Maintain good housekeeping standards across the Print Department, carrying out gantry safety and housekeeping checks
* Monitor production, quality, yield and waste at regular intervals ensuring optimum production figures are achieved each shift
* Using job sheets identify and obtain the printing plates, job bag and inks to be used
* Securely load and store the Print Department’s finished products wherever instructed
* Lead a team of Flexographic Print Operatives, ensuring production targets are met and any issues dealt with
