We have an exciting opportunity for a First Line Manager (Night Shift) to join a fantastic newly opened distribution centre. Working on night shifts (working 5 out of 7 nights a week to cover a 7 day operation) you will have experience of direct line management, health and safety in a warehouse environment and managing a shift to be able to motivate and encourage team members to maximise performance and achieve KPI’s.

The Role:

* To manage within the operations to ensure that quality standards are maintained while productivity targets are by leading by example.

* To be responsible for assigned Team leaders and colleagues

* Motivate and develop a team in a continuous improvement environment, coaching and creating an involved approach at all times.

* Deliver and support client requirements to deliver a best in class offering.

Key accountabilities:

* Provide those assigned to your leadership with motivation and assistance

* Set and define KPI’s for your team.

* Plan and control the allocated resources within your team.

* Actively support and promote culture change within the business.

* Ensure safe systems of work are being adhered to at all times.

* Complete company disciplinary procedures where required and appropriate to position

* Ensure all staff has completed the necessary Health & Safety Training to carry out their role safely.

* Adhere to all Health & Safety policies are adhered to

* Hold daily team briefings with warehouse staff to communicate Company policies and procedures, Health & Safety matters and any other business information in a positive manner

Essential Experience:

* Must have management experience

* Relevant working experience within Distribution or Logistics

* Be customer focused on delivering on set agreements

* Team player. Ability to engage with the team to deliver results

* Excellent communication skills
