First Contract Practitioner – North Cornwall

Salary: £25.2 per hour

We require a highly skilled, highly motivated Physiotherapist to work in the North Cornwall locality as a Clinical Specialist/ Advanced Practice Physiotherapist within our MSK Physiotherapy Outpatient Department and as a First Contact Practitioner (MSK) within GP surgeries.
The successful applicant will have advanced clinical reasoning skills and excellent communication skills. Working as a Clinical Specialist/ Advanced Practice Physiotherapist the post holder will provide expert assessment and management of complex, and at times undifferentiated, presentations. As an FCP, the clinician may be the first point of contact for many patients who may not have consulted a healthcare professional for their problem before and therefore will be required to establish a rapid and accurate diagnosis and collaboratively with the patient devise a management plan including organising investigations and acting on results as appropriate.
The post holder(s) will be based at Bodmin Hospital and full and part time positions may be available.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Appropriate degree or equivalent knowledge
* Masters level module (s)
* Relevant professional qualification and HCPC registration
* Completed the relevant eLfH modules for FCP
* Currently working towards stage 1 in the FCP roadmap
Desirable criteria
* Leadership Qualification/Training
* MACP, MSc or SOMM Qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
* Significant post gradulate experience in MSK Physiotherapy
* Significant specialist experience and knowledge in defined clinical areas
* Experience with complex patients
Desirable criteria
* Experience of service development
* Experience of ordering investigations
* Working within current FCP role or experience of working within GP practice.
