Financial Crime Oversight Manager

About the role
The Financial Crime Oversight Manager is a new role and will be key to keeping the Society and its stakeholders safe and secure in relation to financial crime risks.
Our team of financial crime oversight experts ensure that the Society maintains an expert understanding of financial crime risks and operates an effective control framework.
This role will deliver through leading the second line independent oversight of the financial crime systems and controls that are operating in the first line of defence and assessing the control effectiveness in line with risk appetite, legal and regulatory requirements, and industry guidance and best practice.
It will suit someone who can:
- Develop effective stakeholder relationships, and can engage and challenge management
- Develop and implement an effective and comprehensive second line financial crime monitoring approach
- Promote and facilitate on Society initiatives and projects.
- Identify and implement efficiencies in working practices

About you
You’ll bring substantial experience and a broad knowledge of financial crime risk and regulation.
A deep knowledge in financial services, with a track record of undertaking financial crime oversight responsibilities.
You’ll need to be inquisitive and resilient with an analytical, logical, and well organised mind.
You’ll be successful in collaboration and developing effective relationships and have influential skills.
You’ll be successful in leading, motivating and engaging your team to enable high performance.
