£70,000 – £75,000 plus car

Financial Controller opportunity in a fast-growing business with responsibility for managing its financial operations. Overseeing financial accounting, treasury and controls, this is a role that will contribute to the overall strategy and planning of the business and will particularly suit someone who has a strong controls background.

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting the financial accounting and treasury teams
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial reporting processes
• Developing, implementing and maintaining strong internal controls across the business
• Overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations including banking, VAT and expenses
• Responsibility for treasury, cash and banking and cash flow forecasting
• Financial analysis and provision of MI to inform management decision-making
• Ensuring compliance with all financial and tax regulations and submission of statutory filings
• Coordinating with external auditors and resolving audit queries
• Ensuring that financial statements comply with relevant accounting standards
• Developing and monitoring financial KPIs

We’re looking for a qualified accountant with experience of leading a team. You will have a strong controls background and will probably have worked in a medium to large-sized business previously where controls and processes have had a high profile. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced organisation and be comfortable with change and will also have strong analytical and communication skills.
