Financial Accountant

Salary: £18 – £26.4 per hour

This role can be worked as a hybrid 2 days at home / 3 days in the office or fully office based, whichever suits the role holder best.

We are recruiting for an excellent and progressive Group Financial Accountant role, this role would suit an individual with 2+ years experience working in a similar post qualified Financial Accounting role but perhaps someone who is keen to secure a role that can offer excellent career development opportunities. The successful candidate will be a current holder of the ACA or ACCA qualification.

The key focus of this Financial Accountant role is to assist the wider Finance team in ensuring all internal and external financial reporting requirements are achieved.

What will you be doing:

Assist the financial reporting team ensuring all internal and external financial reporting requirements are achieved to strict deadlines.

Duties to include:

Weekly cash reporting
Balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with the preparation of the Group Annual Report
Assist with the preparation of the statutory accounts
Assist with the preparation of the RSR file
Assist with the preparation of the Tax computations
Assist with the preparation of detailed corporate and deferred tax calculations
Assist with the preparation of the VAT returns
Other securitisation documentation
Assist the external auditors process
Liaison with external auditors to answer queries they may have
Assist in the assessment and application of accounting standards
Assist in the development of controls and procedures
Ensure relevant documentation is filed and stored appropriately
Inform the Financial Accounting Manager of any issues as they occur
Any other duties you may be reasonably requested to carry out by management
