The Financial Accountant role is a fantastic opportunity to join a warm and friendly team at our head office. Working within the Finance Department, the Financial Accounts and Tax team deals with all aspects of statutory reporting, taxation and coordination with external audit. What you’ll be doing…
Summary of Role
Responsible for producing the statutory accounts for entities within the Elior UK Group and being a key contact for the monthly submission of statutory information to the consolidation team in Group Elior France.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
As Financial Accountant for Elior you will be expected to:
- Manage the monthly statutory reporting to Elior UK parent company in France for consolidation purposes.
- Manage the intercompany reporting process and record transactions with Elior France.
- Key contact in the external audit process and to coordinate with relevant Finance teams to achieve audit deliverables.
- Produce of the statutory accounts for entities within the Elior UK group.
- Produce the balance sheets for all statutory entities within the Elior UK Group structure, highlighting trends, risks, exceptions and potential control issues as appropriate.
- Work with other business/finance functions to reduce balance sheet risk across the Elior UK Group.
- Produce the cash flow for the Elior UK Group and report on variances to budget/ forecast.
- Maintain and develop technical accounting knowledge by working towards completion of professional accounting qualification; as the role progresses highlight changes impacting the Elior UK Group entities accordingly.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns for review, including review of risk areas and compliance review of source documentation; complete submission and payment process.
- Assist in the production of corporation tax calculations and payments.

What can you bring?
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
As Financial Accountant we look for the following:
- Ideally worked with SAP
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of group accounting and intercompany transactions
- ACA/ACCA qualified +2 years PQE experience with strong technical accounting background
- Experience in producing statutory accounts, preferably consolidated accounting knowledge and IFRS
- Experience of working to tight deadlines

The salary for this role ranges from £46,000 – £50,000 per annum (DOE)
