Finance Officer – £27,000 per annum – London, W10
The Role

The Westway Trust is a unique charity that stewards the resources of 23 acres of space under the Westway A40. Driven by local leadership since 2019, our mission is to foster North Kensington’s prosperity.
We are seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to join our team at Westway Trust. This role is pivotal in maintaining our sales, purchase, and cash ledgers, working closely with the Senior Finance Officer and Property Finance Officer. Your contributions will be crucial in managing the financial aspects of our vibrant and diverse estate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling supplier invoices, reconciling statements, and being the primary contact for suppliers.
- Setting up new suppliers and debtors.
- Overseeing invoice authorisation and maintaining creditor listings.
- Managing sales ledger credit control and updating debtors lists.
- Processing payments, reconciling credit card statements, and posting bank statements.
- Assisting in month-end and year-end financial processes.
- Providing support and cover for other finance team members as needed.

The Person
- At least two years of experience in a busy accounts department.
- Strong numeracy skills and experience with computerised accounts systems.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with financial procedures including credit control and bank reconciliations.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, able to work under pressure.
- Team player committed to the Trust’s values and equal opportunities policy.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Access Dimensions, Focal Point, electronic banking software, and AAT qualifications.
