Finance Business Partner – International Education
Salary: £36,000 – £43,400 per annum
Location: Cambridge, Hybrid
Contract: Permanent, Full time (35 hours per week)

The International Education Finance team support Cambridge International Product Group. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic accountant to work closely with our business managers focusing on financial performance of products and services and supporting the divisions that deliver our exam series and publishing resources.
About the role
You will join the International Education Finance Business Partners Team, who provides information, analysis, and advice to support decision making at Group, Business Unit and budget holder level. You also will be pivotal to providing analysis and input to the production of budget and forecasts, contributing to the Group planning process.
Providing a finance business partnering service to International Education business area, you will support and advise to a wide range of colleagues, with the accountability for the delivery of insightful, accurate and timely outputs, helping to deliver strong financial performance.
With excellent relationship management skills, you will create strong working relationships with business colleagues. Collaborating seamlessly, you will ensure budgets are managed appropriately and the requirements of the financial cycle are complied with. In addition to formulating precise budgets and forecasts that accurately reflect the plans of the business area, you will influence strategic decisions by providing insightful financial analysis.
Working with and developing costing and pricing models to support accurate financial analysis of products and services, you will act as a true business partner, enabling the business area to achieve.
About you
You will already hold or be working towards completion of a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent), and have demonstrable experience providing a business partnering service and have the skills and ability to provide insight into business performance.
Alongside your excellent verbal and written communication skills, you will be able to use Excel to an advanced level. This proficiency empowers you to manipulate financial data and produce accessible outputs for a wide range of stakeholder groups. Good time management skills are essential, as is the ability to apply relevant accounting standards appropriately.
With a high level of numeric reasoning, you will be able to display an aptitude for problem solving and decision making, while understanding when to refer queries to a higher level.
Experience:
- Demonstrate experience of supporting and challenging operational teams
- Finance Business Partnering including preparation of monthly reports as well as costing/pricing work.
- Experience of management accounts or Finance Business partnering in a global organisation is desirable.
- Project work, including understanding of contract terms, beneficial.
- Data modelling including working knowledge of Power Query and Power BI is desirable.
- Successfully producing detailed and accurate work to deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of finance procedures and experience of using a major finance computer system.
