Salary: £36,000 per year
The UK market leader in the supply and maintenance of automated assembly equipment has a requirement for a Technician to join the team and oversee company clients in the North West.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with commercial awareness and looking for a career rather than a job.
Because the specific knowledge relates to the industry sector, full on-the-job training is provided and is ongoing. There is a true spirit of promotion and development from within the senior engineers have been promoted from the technicians; the Operations Director started in the machine shop!
The company have ambitious plans for next year including establishing a local presence in both India and Europe for which site visits will be part of the remit.
The successful candidate will be someone who apart from the mechanical skills will be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate at all levels and recognise the value of providing excellent service at all times.
The role will include, but not be restricted to;
Site visit and coordinate with internal sales department and client engineers to assess best provision
Installation
Commission and hand-over including on-site training of client technicians
Emergency breakdown coverage
Preventative maintenance
The successful candidate should be;
An apprenticed Mechanical Engineer with electrical bias
Able to follow diagnostic procedures with PLC systems and have experience/good working knowledge of pneumatics and moving parts
An articulate communicator
A diplomat of the business
In return a starting salary of £36,000is offered with career progression into senior roles.
