Salary: £28,800 per year
Second Line Engineer based in Team Valley, Gateshead (NE11) salary up to £28,800
Due to another successful year of growth we are looking to expand our team and bring on an experienced and enthusiastic individual, to work alongside our first and second line engineers providing remote IT support and field based support to our customers in the North East.
You will be responsible for carrying out a range of tasks, including supporting our first line engineers with ticket escalation, hardware configuration, network installations, network administration and server maintenance. You should be reliable, flexible, and able to prioritise work on your own initiative as well as having excellent customer service skills.
This would suit a skilled and capable individual wishing to progress their career in IT in a growing North East based IT and Telecoms company.
Minimum requirements
* 3 years Business IT Support experience minimum
Required skills:
* Networking – LAN, VLAN, WAN, SAN, Firewalls, VPN’s and Layer3 switches
* Exchange 2007/2010/2012 – Installation, troubleshooting and management
* Windows 2008/2012 – Installation, troubleshooting and management
* Hyper-V and VMWare – Installation, troubleshooting and management
* Cisco routers and switches – Installation, troubleshooting and management
* Good knowledge of AD, Domain Controller, Wsus server & Antivirus products
* Excellent knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 8 and Microsoft Office
To Your Advantage (although not required)
* Microsoft Office 365 experience and qualifications
* Google Apps experience and qualifications
* Relevant Microsoft certifications
* Citrix experience and qualifications
* Vmware ESX qualifications
* Cisco qualifications
* Telecom PBX and VOIP experience and qualifications
Successful candidates are expected to have proven track record of providing a high-level of customer satisfaction and ability to meet service level agreements. The role will suit someone with a solid understanding of desktop, application, network & server support.
