Fibreglass Trimmer & Laminator

Bridgnorth, Shropshire

£26,000 per year to start (+ Overtime opportunities & Increases at 6 & 12 months)

Permanent position

Summary of role:

To produce daily the range of GRP related parts as driven by customer demand. The areas scope shall include:

(Predominantly trimming the following, but also laminating as required)

* Decks & Drains

* Resin Moulded products

* Fibreglass (GRP) trays

* Other (GRP) products as required

Main responsibilities include:

* Trimming of GRP products (largest element of the job)

* Operating Gel & Glass Chop spray equipment

* Laying up of moulds

* Resin Mould production

* Support the company in production, making sure the business is adequately supplied in alignment with plans.

* Ensuring production targets are met

* Participate in the implementation of any new policies and procedures relating to the production process

* Daily responsibility for Health & Safety and ISO Compliance within area

* To multi-task when possible to ensure all tasks set are completed within set timescales

Experience listed below would be an advantage, although training will be provided:

* GRP (fibreglass) hand-laying experience

* GRP trimming experience

* Working with RTM (Resin Transfer Mould) advantageous

* Ability to work both well within a small team and on own initiative

* Ability to structure work patterns to meet targets & deadlines

* Attention to detail producing quality workmanship as a matter of course

* Reliable, with a positive attitude to work

* Prioritising and an ability to manage multiple tasks
