Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year
My client is seeking to employ an experienced Fibre Supervisor to join their existing team in the Cambridge region. You will be working as part of the delivery team and will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the FTTP build.
The ideal candidate will have experience in supervising a team of fibre splicers and civils gangs carrying out route proofing and cable installs.
Job Role
* To supervise a team of fibre splicers ensuring that all works is carried out to the correct standard.
* Meet with contractors to ensure they are meeting requirements
* Ensure all sub-contractors have the correct qualifications, experience and are working to the correct company standards.
* Attend site meetings to agree Traffic Management requirements liaising with Highways Authorities.
* Ensure all documentation is present on site and ensure the design plans are reviewed on a regular basis.
* Ensure all site staff have the correct materials, PPE, permits and authorisations/qualifications.
* Ensure permits are completed on time
* Carrying out site meetings with Highway Authority representatives to agree Traffic Management requirements for jobs
* Attend site meetings with the customer and local authorities
* Conduct Health & Safety quality audits
* Have a full understanding of the fibre network
Experience & Qualifications
* Essential – Understanding of Openreach FTTP network build
* Experience of working with BT Open Reach, City Fibre and/or Virgin media cabling projects
* Experience of route proofing and cable splicing works.
* SSSTS or SMSTS – Desirable
* Previous experience in a similar position
* Hold a minimum of NRSWA Supervisors ticket
* Full UK driving licence
