Salary: £17.6 – £22.45 per hour

FASHION DESIGNER- FORWARD THINKING BUSINESS
An exciting opportunity to join our client, a well-established distributor of fashion products who are well known for quality and excellent customer care along with being a great employer. They now require a Fashion Designer to design and develop bag and accessory ranges.
In return, client is offering a competitive basic salary and excellent benefits package.
Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am – 4.30pm and Friday 8am – 3.30pm
FASHION DESIGNER JOB DESCRIPTION
* Design bags own-branded and character to a brief defined with/between client and the business.
* Ensure that the products are specified appropriately to achieve required cost price and margins.
* Ensure all materials and components meet the required standards of the company and the customer in terms of quality and product assurance.
* Conduct face to face meetings, liaise with customers to manage customer relationships through and beyond the development process.
* Research the market, understand trends and develop new ideas and concepts to present to customers.
* Work with factories and sourcing teams to develop products in the most appropriate sources.
* Travel to sources to develop and refine products and costings if required.
* Work well with colleagues to create a positive and creative teamwork ethic.
FASHION DESIGNER PERSON SPECIFICATION
* Experience of designing and developing to a variety of bag constructions and materials.
* Experience of working with overseas sources and different customers.
* Excellent use of design software such as Photoshop / Illustrator. Also experience in the use of Excel / Word.
* Good presentational skills.
* Excellent written communication skills.
* Methodical and organised, attention to detail.
