Facilities Manager (Property Service Delivery)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities Manager to join a FTSE 100 Water company based in out Shrewsbury area. You will be responsible for the seamless integration of all facilities services within the Shropshire and Powys counties. This includes all of our operational sites such as Sewage treatment works, offices and visitor sites such as reservoirs across the area.

Key Responsibilities:

* You will ensure our staff are based in the right locations at the right time and occupy the right amount of space is our dedicated property team
* You’ll be properties first point of contact for the business in all workplace, buildings and grounds maintenance matters to deliver an ‘always on’ and ‘always safe’ property portfolio; ensuring any issues are resolved
* You’ll lead, manage and motivate a small team who will help you cover this large geographic area ensuring standards are met and we have the highest levels of health and safety management.
* You will work closely with colleagues in our Capital Projects team to ensure plans are aligned between improvement projects and FM BAU delivery; utilising totex budgets in excess of £2m.
* You will also be responsible for listening and responding to visitor and community feedback in order to develop creative partnerships that enable the company to reach new audiences and involve customers in the work of the company and its aims

Key Skills and Experience:

* A background within the Water industry isn’t essential but we’re looking for someone who can manage a large and complex property portfolio, ideally with experience working with and managing contractors operating a diverse and geographically dispersed estate.
* You will have a facilities management background or an operational role within the utilities industry managing remote teams and contractors.
* You’ll have great customer and stakeholder focus and must be able to build trust and great relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* You will need a full UK driving license and be prepared to travel when necessary.
* You will be able to work both independently and as part of a team and has a strong customer outlook to ensure our sites offer the best visitor experience possible for our customers
