Facilities / Maintenance Co-ordinator

A new position has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our client’s vibrant team as Facilities / Maintenance Co-ordinator.

The ideal candidate will have worked in trades either electrical, plumbing or joinery and not be afraid to be hands on when needed.

This is a full-time or part-time permanent position based in Wetherby. Salary is £25,000 to £28,000 pro rata plus excellent benefits.

Facilities/Maintenance Co-ordinator Responsibilities:

  • Planning, carrying out and overseeing any (internal or external) maintenance work with internal staff.
  • Planning and overseeing any maintenance work with external contractors.
  • Ensuring all external contractors have signed in and have the correct paperwork for the tasks they are doing.
  • Signing off all work that is done and updating management of these completions.
  • Filing all certification and completion paperwork.
  • Organising annual visits and audits through pre agreed maintenance contracts.
  • Ensuring all on site equipment is fit for purpose including but not exclusive to: cleaning, IT & technology, maintenance tools, PPE, warehouse equipment (excluding vehicles), security systems.
  • Carry out periodic checks of the above to ensure smooth operation of site.
  • Reporting any issues with any of the above to the Operations or Safety Managers.
  • Maintain COSSH data sheets.
  • Maintain risk assessment files for the building maintenance.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts for working required to be carried out or planned in for the upcoming year.
  • Identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Ideally the candidate would have experience and current qualifications in electrical, plumbing or joinery work.
  • Alternatively experience in a similar role would be needed or project management skills.
  • Proactive, organised and able to work under pressure or to deadlines.
  • Takes responsibility.
  • Team player
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the business and to third party contractors.
  • Confident with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Ability to manage own workload.
  • Eye for detail
