In the role of Fabric Engineer (Mobile) at ISS, your primary objective is to contribute to making ISS the world’s greatest service organisation. You will play a crucial role in service performance, empowering customers through effective people management.

Job Description

As a Mobile Fabric Engineer, your responsibilities encompass the repairs and maintenance of buildings within a specified geographical region.

You will serve as the point of contact for emergency situations that might impact GPA’s ability to conduct business. Safety considerations for employees, asset security, and maintaining service excellence for clients and team members are paramount in your daily responsibilities.

Your focus is on delivering a world-class building services maintenance service, emphasising quality and efficiency in all aspects of your work. Your role is integral to achieving ISS’s goal of being a premier service organisation globally.
Key Responsibilities

  • Complies with all applicable Codes, Regulations, and Company Policies related to building operations and work safety
  • General maintenance and repairs
  • Use proper personal protective equipment
  • Present a professional appearance and conduct
  • Understand customer service and satisfaction
  • Completes maintenance and repair records as required
  • Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Secondary education, Certificate in trade school or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years’ work experience
  • Must understand how things work (facility-related)
  • Must be able to effectively communicate (oral and written) with all employees, contractors, and vendors
  • Initiative-taker and collaborator
  • Ability to explore a situation, assess and offer different options to formulate a plan that meets or exceeds objectives and expectations
  • Communicates effectively
  • Business insight
