External Sales Engineer: Electrical Motors

The Company:
– The company is one of the UK’s leading distributors for electrical motors, gearboxes, drives and transmissions working closely with a large number of manufactures including Banfiglioli, who they are the top UK distributor for by some way.
– Established for over 30 years in the electrical motors, gearboxes and drives industry, the company has 3 sites across the UK, employing approximately 25 people.
– The company enjoyed a healthy £4.5 million turnover last year, resulting in exponential growth plans for the next few years.
– The company also offer excellent promotional prospects for the correct candidate and full training/continued personal development is provided.

The Role:
– The role is a field based sales role selling electrical motors, drives, gearboxes and transmissions to various OEMs, End Users and distributors such as Sulzer Dowding, Brammer, etc.
– The role is based in the North of England, ideally living in the Manchester, Liverpool, and Leeds area.
– You will experience a mix of new and existing business, approximately 70% of the role initially will be existing client business, and this will progress ideally to a 50/50 split after a while.
– The order values you will be working with range from small, individual purchases of £200, to up to £20, 000 for large scale operations undertaken by OEMs, dependant of the customer`s electrical motors, gearboxes and drives requirements.
– The role is open due to a long standing employee leaving, therefore ideally they want to find a candidate who can hit the ground running from the off.
– The role reports directly to the Sales Director and General Manager for the UK

The Ideal Person:
– Ideally a candidate will have experience in power transmission sales, ideally electrical motors, gearboxes and drives.
– A candidate will also, preferably, have a proven track record in the sale of electrical motors and gearboxes with approximately 5 years experience in electrical motors and gearbox field sales.
– A candidate will be expected to know and understand the products and industry in order to hit the ground running immediately.
– If you are well presented, a good communicator with a `hunter` attitude the role is very well suited to your personality.
– A candidate with a background in rewind motors will also be strongly considered, as a number of the current team are from a similar industry.
