Experienced Ocean Import Clerk

Experienced Ocean Import Clerk needed to work with this global Logistics Company.

Job specification is as follows:

• To work within a busy Import Department
• Flexible attitude to working in a multi-modal environment
• Ensure the department processes and expedites customers’ orders with full visibility from point of pick-up to delivery point
• Ensure all documentation, Bills of Lading etc. are checked in an accurate & timely fashion and client profiles are updated
• Ensuring all documents are expedited to clients as per Sop’s
• Ensure files are completed correctly
• Ensure all customs instructions / requirements are correctly instigated
• Maintain a high level of customer service with the customers
• Maintain liaison with all operational and support departments
• Maintain continuing handling of third party suppliers and carriers to ensure best practice, service and cost control
• Ensure compliance with all pre-requisite legislation
