Estimator for Construction / Stone masonry
Up to £35k – £40k plus 28 Days` Holiday including Bank Holidays.
Established and fast-growing, we are a leading provider of natural stone interior solutions. An availability has now arisen within our estimating team. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimating professional with an in-depth understanding of new-build and refurbishment construction projects to join a fantastic, expanding company.
As an Estimator for Construction / Stone masonry, you will support our commercial team in winning new business through the accurate preparation of estimates for supply, manufacture and installation of natural stone products.
You will analyse proposals, specifications, drawings, samples and related documents, identify labour, plant and material requirements and prepare appropriate quotations and/or priced bills of quantities. At post-tender stage you will respond to further technical and commercial queries regarding your tenders and quotations.
As an Estimator for Construction / Stone masonry you will possess the following:
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Mathematical and IT skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• An understanding of the importance of data confidentiality
• The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
• An organised approach to work and the ability to meet deadlines
• An awareness of regulations, price trends and exchange rates.
Whilst not essential, previous experience within the natural stone and tiling industry would represent a distinct advantage to that applicant.
