Environment Programme Manager 

Salary: £42,000 – £56,800

Location: Cambridge, hybrid working a minimum of 2 days per week from the office

Contract: Permanent, full time – 35 hours per week

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Environment Programme Manager to join our team and play a vital role in delivering our environmental sustainability strategy, to minimise our impact on the environment of our operations.

If you answered yes, you may be interested in our fantastic opportunity to join us as an Environment Programme Manager.

In this newly created role, you will manage a portfolio of varied environmental programmes and projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to an excellent standard.

You will develop and implement programme and project management best practice across the portfolio, working closely with stakeholders across our global business, to facilitate and empower innovative and collaborative activity across functions and geographies.

This is a fast-paced role, where no two days are the same as you create an effective approach to the management of the environmental sustainability programme, whilst providing ongoing review and updates of best practice techniques, existing frameworks, governance, and risk requirements.

You will drive agile ways of working as you lead a number of multi-disciplinary teams to work in a successful delivery structure, providing clear and focused leadership.

About you  

You will be aware of environmental sustainability challenges and be passionate about pushing forward the fulfilment of programme goals in order to make positive change.

You will have an understanding of strategy implementation, whilst thriving on variety and will be eager for opportunities to learn new things.

You will be well organised and adept at co-ordinating people to achieve a common goal, along with experience of managing diverse programmes and projects. Knowledge of the challenges and potential solutions in reducing environmental impacts in publishing would be advantageous.
