Bishop Challoner Catholic Collegiate School is a successful multicultural school at the heart of the East End of London. The Governors of Bishop Challoner Catholic Collegiate School wish to appoint an ambitious and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant. You will ideally hold a degree in English.

You will be required to:
· Provide support for individual students inside the classroom
· Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Learning Difficulties
· Promote the English curriculum
· Promote good behaviour and positive values at all times to impact teaching and learning
· Maintain a flexible and adaptable approach and be able to work in a variety of settings

The ideal candidate will be confident, have a proven track record of assisting in the educational and social development of students and be willing to work individually and as a part of a team. This role will suit outgoing personalities who are looking for an exciting and rewarding role, or looking to gain classroom experience before applying for a PGCE.

Bishop Challoner provides excellent support for their students and staff work hard to successfully meet the sometimes complex and challenging needs of our students. We are looking for candidates that have experience that will be relevant to assisting students and teachers across the school at secondary level. Recent, relevant experience that can be referenced is essential.
