Location: Normanton, West Yorkshire
Salary: £26,000per year
Contract: Full time, permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Stores Person to join our team based in Normanton, West Yorkshire.

The main purpose of this role is to ensure that the engineering department is provided with a well maintained stores system and ensure that all components are kept at the appropriate stock levels.
The main duties of these roles will include:

• Assisting in the purchase and procurement of all engineering parts for stock, breakdown and project purposes.
• Ensuring that purchases are suitably processed on the stock control system.
• Maintaining a regular update on engineering expenditure and stock.
• Providing up to date reports on orders and delivery dates.
• Ensuring good standards of housekeeping are maintained within the stores environment.

The skills and knowledge required include:

• Qualified to a minimum of GCSE level in English and Mathematics
• Excellent planning and organisation skills, being able to manage time well and prioritise workload.
• Remaining calm under pressure and able to work to deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• A high level of attention to detail, methodical with ability to work with numbers.
• Experience in an Engineering or manufacturing stores environment would be advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent computer skills are essential and an IT qualification would be an advantage.
• Reliable with a flexible attitude.
