Engine Tester / Builder

Ricardo are looking for an Engines Tester/Builder to work on their site in Leamington Spa.

We are looking for Engine Tester/Builder to work for an Automotive company based in Leamington Spa.

As a Test and Operations Technician, you need the following skills/experience:

of building and stripping transmissions, engines or other rotating machinery

Experience of system or component testing on test rigs preferably transmissions

Basic understanding and interpretation of test data and an ability to communicate information to engineers

Basic metalworking skills and ability to use test workshop equipment (lathe, milling machine, pillar frill, welder etc)

Experience of working on vehicle as required (removal and fitting of engine and gearboxes, modifying vehicle systems, fitting instrumentation)

Your duties will include:

Fit transmissions, adaptors and driveline components to test rigs

Fabricate brackets or make up simple tests as required

Prepare/instrument/modify vehicles to fit and test drive-line components

Conduct transmission tests using test rigs

Liaise with technicians, engineers and managers working on test programs

The salary is between £31,200 – £33,600per annum depending on experience.
