Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per year
An established Energy management specialist with a national presence is seeking to recruit an Energy Consultant, based out of their London office.

Role Profile
Providing excellent customer service, whilst advising clients the best energy efficiency measures, to reduce their energy costs. Understanding the client’s requirements in order to build a relationship and deliver the most beneficial outcome for the customer, whether it be commercial or domestic.
Key Skills
* Organised and efficient with good project management and project delivery skills.
* Demonstrated experience in the areas of resource efficiency with a particular emphasis on energy management, energy efficiency and building integrated renewable energy.
* Demonstrated experience in client management, applying a high standard of interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral), with the ability to lead and run workshop sessions. Technical report writing and the ability to present technical information in a clear and concise format, suitable for non-specialists is a key skill required in this role.
* Problem solving and identification / specification of solutions.
* Highly numerate with good Excel skills and understanding of the fundamentals of developing and presenting a business case for investment.
* Ability to work effectively in a complex team environment and to take initiative and deliver projects independently when required.

Qualification
And experience
Degree calibre – qualified in a relevant energy, engineering and/or science discipline (essential).
* experience working in energy consultancy with experience of carrying out resource and energy efficiency audits (essential).
* Membership of a relevant professional institution(s) e.g. CIBSE, EI and/or Chartered Engineer status (desirable).
* Ability to build and manipulate energy models using MS Excel (desirable)
* Experience of, or significant insight into, barriers and drivers affecting the public and private sector bodies in tacking climate change (desirable).
* Insight into carbon and energy policy in the UK and internationally (desirable).
Key performance indicators
* Conduct resource efficiency audits (primarily energy efficiency), making quantified and costed recommendations for performance improvement for existing non-domestic buildings across a range sectors including public sector, offices, catering, hospitality, manufacturing, retail and healthcare among others.
* Conduct feasibility assessments on renewable and low carbon technology solutions such as biomass, solar PV and CHP.
* Develop tender specifications for specialist technical support and manage the delivery of consultant support.
* Deliver on site support, telephone advice and workshop sessions to customers on technical and change management topics.
* Support business development activities and achievement of mission for the Programmes team.
* Liaison and engagement with other consultants.
