We are recruiting for Europe’s leading automotive lighting designer and manufacturer for the luxury and supercar markets.

Supplying headlamps and rear lamps for many of the world’s most iconic car brands, the organisation has grown significantly in recent years.

Electronics Test Engineer Role & Responsibilities:

• Setup, monitoring and analysis of electrical tests using programmable power supplies
• Analysis of electrical defects on customer returns
• Analysis of rejected production PCBs to determine cause of failure
• Feedback test results to project teams / Electronic Design Engineers and assist in resolving test failures
• Communicate results of analysis with SQA and supplier
• Compile detailed test reports in accordance with company and customer requirements
• Manufacture test boxes, harnesses, and electronic interfaces to support testing activities
• Assembly of prototype electronics (mostly SMT) to support electronics design

Experience & Qualifications required:

• Experience of electronic failure analysis
• Self motivated to produce high quality work and complete tasks within deadlines
• Ability to organise and effectively record testing activities and results
• Ability to write accurate and detailed test reports using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Experience & Qualifications preferred:

• Experience with SBC based test equipment (RPI)
• Previous experience of prototype SMT assembly – 0603 size components
• Educated to a minimum of HNC/HND Level in a relevant engineering or scientific subject
