Electrician’s Mate

Salary: £30,475 – £30,780 per year

Bates & Bradshaw are recruiting on behalf of a major Construction & Maintenance company in the Hull area who operate as one of the leading building, repairs, and maintenance contractors. They are presently employing around 500 people and have a turnover of £50 million and they have some ambitious plans in place to grow this again over the coming years.

Purpose of the Role

To deliver as appropriate to the Company’s reasonable requests; and to the required standard of workmanship and skill, a suitable and sufficient level of service for assistance in the installation, maintenance, repair, inspection, testing and documentation of domestic, commercial and industrial installations.

Role Requirements

You will be required to work alongside Electricians assisting with required work as set out below

* Assisting with testing, inspecting and verification of new and existing electrical systems

* The erection, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment

* Assisting in planned preventive maintenance.

* Assisting with installation of containment, wiring systems and equipment

* Driving Company vehicles and operation of ancillary plant and equipment in the necessary operation of works involved.

* Compilation of accurate records and reports both in hand written and electronic formats with use of PDA and or Laptop but not limited to.

Qualifications Required

* Minimum City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Installations

* Full UK Driving Licence

* ECS Card (Desirable)
