Qualified Electrical Engineer
£39464.88 per annum
Full time, Permanent Role
Cranfield, Bedfordshire – 15 minutes from MK
39 hour week – Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm. Friday 8am – 1:20pm with available over
time
Role Overview
This role will require you to work closely with the electrical lead undertaking maintenance, installations, testing, fault finding and repairs throughout the various on site buildings on site.
Preferred Qualification Required
- C&G 2357 NVQ level 3 diploma in installing electrotechnical systems and equipment
- AM2 Assessment
- BS7671 17th/18th Edition of the wiring Regulations
- C&G 2391 initial & periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations
- C&G 2377 Inspection and testing of electrical equipment (PAT testing)
Duties will include
- Comply with on site health and safety as well as electrical procedures and compliance
- Stakeholder management
- Assist with work required based on adhoc and scheduled electrical work
- Carry out installation projects from start to finish including 1st fix, 2nd fix and commissioning
- Document all work completed on computer and paper based paperwork
- Carry tools and equipment by hand up to 20kg
- Manage workload using client CAFM system
- Ability to work at height
- Emergency light testing
Skills and experience required
- Previous commercial or industrial installation experience on electrical systems
- Ability to anticipate and /or diagnose fault
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, lenel security, CCTV and IT systems
- Flexible approach to work
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements
- Stakeholder management
- Good communication
- Team player and able to work collaboratively
- Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are fully reported
- Attention to detail
