Salary: £45,600 per year
We are currently working with a specialist of over 30 years in providing small works installation and maintenance to the fire and security industry across the South of England. Based in Sussex, they are now actively seeking a fully qualified Electrician to join their team in the Bracknell area to be responsible for small works installations of fire alarms and emergency lighting equipment.
The role of the Electrician will involve;
- Working within a small radius of Bracknell, based along the M3 corridor.
- Travelling to clients’ sites, varying from local authority buildings, residential premises, social housing, nursing homes and hospitals.
- Carrying out small works installations of fire alarms, emergency lighting and other small electrical equipment.
- Working independently 90% of the time, with occasional larger project work as part of a team.
- Being responsible for all paperwork, ensuring all electrical documentation is submitted accurately and within time frames, keeping up to date with the Contracts Manager.
- Liaising with the office staff to discuss jobs, ensuring assigned tasks are completed within a timely manner.
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have;
- An NVQ 3 in Electrical Installation, or equivalent qualification.
- 2391 Test & Inspection certificate.
- 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Some knowledge and working experience of fire alarm and emergency lighitng installations.
- Previous experience working with domestic customers, and the ability to liaise confidently.
The role of the Electrician will offer a competitive remuneration package, including;
- A basic salary of up to £45,600per annum, depending on experience and discussed further upon interview.
- Door to door travel time, paid at standard hourly rates.
- Overtime paid at enhanced rates, starting at 1.5x increasing for any work on Sundays.
- 20 days’ annual leave, increasing with length of service, plus Bank Holidays.
