Electrician – Permanent

An established Mechanical and Electrical company based in Portsmouth are seeking as fully qualified Electrician to join the growing team within the Electrical department. Qualified Electricians are required ASAP to cover a wide range of projects across Portsmouth, Fareham, Southampton and surrounding areas with some occasional work to be completed on an exciting project based in London. Previous experience in the domestic market will be required, any experience in Commercial sectors would be an advantage but not essential for this role.

Electricians Role:-

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
Maintain current electrician’s license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.

Role Requirements and Qualifications:-

Electricians should hold 17th Edition amendment 3
Must be qualified with 2395 or 2392 & 2391
A valid CSCS/ECS card.
Full UK driving licence is required.
This is a customer facing role so all candidates should be polite and presentable with good customer service skills.

Package:-

£34,000 – £38,000
Van and other company benefits available.
20 days holiday plus bank holidays
You will be required to provide your own tools.
Normal working hours are 07:45 to 16:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday, Overtime available according to workload
