Job Description
Tradebe require a Site Electrician for our Fawley plant.
Hours and Benefits:
- Salary from £43k to £46k p/a dependant on experience.
- Monday to Friday 08:00 start, 37-hour week.
- Plenty of overtime available.
- Call out payments.
- Up to 10% quarterly bonus.

Essential skills:
- 5 years (post apprenticeship) experience, ideally gained in Chemical, Waste Incineration or Power generation environment.
- ECS/JIB Electrical Apprenticeship Served.
- 18th Edition IEE Regulations.
- CompEX certificate (training can be given).
- Inspection, Testing and certification of electrical installations (C&G 2394 & 2395) or (C&G 2391).
- Process and control systems (PLC). (desirable)
- IPAF/MEWP User Operator. (desirable)
Main purpose of role:
- Carry out the duties and responsibilities of an Approved Electrician.
- Maintenance, testing and Repair on all of the company’s plant and equipment.
- Carry out statutory inspections of safety critical/hazardous area equipment on site.
- Ability to install new and inspect existing electrical installations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Undertake the duties of an Authorised Person Electrical (APE) (LV) to ensure that all electrical maintenance, system installations, testing and repairs are carried out efficiently and safely according to the current IEE regulations.
- Other required preventative and breakdown maintenance of electrical installations.
- Identifying and implement improvements to equipment, processes, systems and procedures.
- Ensure health, safety, quality and good engineering practice standards are maintained.
- Willing to assist other maintenance technicians in their work.
- Willing to take part in “On Call” system in case of any breakdown.
Other Essential Skills:
- Able to work in close communication with the operation team to prevent or minimise operational downtime and maximize operation effectiveness.
- Flexible and proactive working attitude, able to work on own initiative.
- Computer Literate.
- Full driving Licence.
