Mon -Thur 8-5pm, Fri 8-3pm, Flexi Time
An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer to join a local Engineering company to develop the required electrical engineering documentation, to ensure suitable quotations are obtained and that electrical sub-contractors deliver projects on time, to budget and to the right quality.
As the Electrical Engineer you’ll work alongside the Technical Sales and Project Support department to develop proposals with suitable electrical equipment listings, specifications, quotations and estimates. Therefore you will attend project and client meetings to discuss proposals and the present technology. You’ll be the main point of contact with electrical sub-contractors and you will monitor their performance, verifying their scope of work ensuring suitability for the project. You will lead all electrical engineering aspects of a project, ensuring it meets H&S guidelines and that the Project Engineer is aware of the electrical requirements and processes involved.
To be successful as the Electrical Engineer you’ll hold a HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering. You’ll have previous experience as an Electrical Engineer which will mean you will be conversant in the technical electrical aspects of a project and able to guide the engineers to create fit for purpose machines and electrical equipment. Occasional travel may be required as Project meetings could be worldwide.
