Salary: £36,000 – £39,600 per year
Producing wiring diagrams from schematic designs, enabling panel technicians to manufacture and wire protection cubicles. Ordering materials and all associated parts associated with the production of the protection cubicles. Liaising with internal engineers and technicians to ensure high standards of manufacture are maintained from design through to completion.
Job Scope
Producing wiring diagrams to deadlines for control and protection cubicles from schematic designs
Producing wiring diagrams to deadlines for distribution / supplies kiosks
Producing General arrangement drawings to deadlines
Procuring control and protection equipment
Liaising with panel technicians and test engineers to maintain high standards of manufacture
Working to detailed design intent documents
Attending initial start-up meetings and ongoing project review meetings
To undertake site visits throughout the UK for new projects and existing retrofit projects
To assist with planning and monitoring of progress against budgets
To assist with continuous improvement within the company
Qualifications
ONC / HNC in an electrical related discipline
Experience
Essentially apprentice served and with typically 5 years experience within the electrical industry, ideally with an Electrical Transmission and Distribution background, however not essential if the candidate has experience in a relevant electrical discipline.
Knowledge of BS & IEC standards, related to control and protection cubicles
Good working knowledge of Autocad
Experience of Engineering Base or other intelligent drawing package advantageous
High standard of IT literacy – Word, Excel, etc
Good written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills essential
