Salary: £18.88 per hour

Leading Engineering company urgently requires an Electrical Control Panel Builder with experience in the electrical wiring of control panels & machine control systems and would ideally suit a Time Served Electrical wireman with a sound understanding of mechanical systems and qualified to ONC or City & Guilds level in Electrical Engineering / Installation or both and preferably with grounded knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems

As an Electrical Control Panel Builder you must be able to identify, handle & process the electrical components used in the construction & equipping of electrical control panels & machinery, have a full understanding of wiring complex small & large control panels & systems for various automation systems, can read and implement complex instructions from technical project documents, mark out, mechanically cut/drill & assemble electrical control panels & sub-assemblies to assembly drawings, be able to interpret wiring diagrams & wire complex control panels/systems for various automation applications and also be able to Electrically equip & connect various types of automation machinery both within the UK & Worldwide. You must have own set of hand & battery powered tools to enable the above work to be completed.

You will work with both customers and suppliers, provide support to the production team, plan, organise and manage work in conjunction with the Engineers and production team to meet required timescales.

Working hours are Mon – Thu – 7am – 4.30pm and Friday 8am-12pm plus 12 hours available overtime pw, and the benefits include 10% bonus, 20 days holiday (increasing to 25 with long service) plus BH, a further 5 days holiday can be purchased via the existing overtime exchange scheme, Sovereign Healthcare package, pension, optional monthly JD gym membership plus more. You will also hold a clean UK driving license and a valid passport.

The rate is £18.88 ph plis overtime and is commutable from Lancashire, Darwen, Blackburn, Chorley, Burnley, Bolton, Wigan, Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, Clitheroe, Preston, Blackpool, Keighley, Skipton, Todmorden, Hebden Bridge, Clitheroe, Bury, North-West
