Electric Motor Rewinder

Salary: £54,000 – £60,000 per year

One of the UK’s largest independently owned electric, electronic and mechanical engineering services companies, is seeking an experienced Electric Motor Winder.
You will report into the Works Manager. The main purpose of the role is to service requirements from their customers, within their busy workshop. You will have a wide range of skills covering experience as Electric Motor Winder. Your duties will include
* Additional knowledge of gearboxes, pumps, fan units and other assemblies that include electric motors.
* Testing skills – both static and dynamic testing.
* To assemble motors following repair.
* To be able to strip and detail AC stators.
* To be able to strip and detail and wind DC armatures.
* To be able to wind and connect an armature.
* To be able to strip, detail and rewind DC fields.
* To be on-call on a rota basis.
* Carry a please apply call and to be contacted at all times.
* Do labouring duties when not busy.
* Accompany members of engineering staff during out of hours working.
* On site work with associated equipment and difficulties in an unsupervised environment
* Lift weight of up to 25kg from floor to bench level
* Manoeuvre equipment weighting greater than 25kg with appropriate lifting equipment.

* Electric motor Winder experience is essential.
* Experience in working with a range of equipment including electric motors, gearboxes pumps and fan units.

* Full clean driving licence is ideal.
