We are currently seeking an experienced Electric Gate Engineer to join an extremely reputable, family-run SME based in Swanley. For this role you will be joining a team of field engineers to repair, install and maintain assets to an industry leading standard. You will be working with a professional field and office based team, and will be provided with a quality, fully equipped and stocked van, plus laptop, mobile phone and all other tools, equipment, and uniform required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities of an Electric Gate Engineer:
- Reactive repair and proactive maintenance of automated gates, access control, CCTV and other security systems.
- Investigating faults reported to a very thorough standard.
- Inspecting installs for compliance with safety standards.
- Proactively making recommendations for upgrades required or desirable for compliance or reliability reasons.
- Written and photographic reporting on findings in a coherent and comprehensive manner.
- Communicating with clients clearly and professionally.
Requirements:
- Compliance with safety standards.
- DHF or Gate safe qualification.
- Experience of installation, upgrade and repair of all types of automated gates.
- Experience of installation, upgrade and repair of a variety of other security systems.
- Electrical qualifications (desirable)
- Enhanced DBS certificated verified clear (can be provided)
- Experience of welding advantageous but not essential.
- Confident communicator.
- CSCS card
- Calm and logical approach to complex problem solving under pressure.
- Ability to be forensic when required to seek out complex or hidden faults.
- Enthusiastic and tenacious approach to work.
- Attention to detail.
Working hours: 06:00-16:30
