Hours: Monday until Friday 8-5pm

Rate: £26,000 per year

We are looking for Edge Bander Machine Operators to commence working with an established client in the Stockport area. The chosen candidate will be operating a Stefani Solutions HD, Straight Line / Single Sided Edge Bander. Experience with this machinery is essential and working with furniture would be ideal.

The Role:

As an Edge Bander Machine Operator your duties will include:

* Tending to the machine that glues veneer bands to edges of case tops, tabletops, and plywood panels.
* Placing stacks of veneer strips in the feed chutes
* Adjusts conveyor and trimming saws to width and thickness of panels or tops to be banded.
* Feeding stock into the machine that applies glue to edges of stock, pulling veneer strips from feed chute onto edges, drying glue on heated plates, and trimming strips flush with edges.
* Adjusting the stop on the bander machine to width of stock.
* Placing stock on worktables for edge trimming and sanding.
* Any other housekeeping duties

The Candidate:

To be successful, you will need to be:

* Literate and Numerate
* Good computer skills
* Physically Fit
* Accurate
* Able to prioritise and organise workload
* Able to communicate and to be a team player
* Carry out duties whenever required
* Able to work flexibility in case of any overtime that is offered
