Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Project Engineer

You’ll be…
Preparing overall project costs and schedules
Supporting the Project Manager with development of the project programme
Contributing to process risk assessments (PRA’s)
Liaising with construction teams to gather information – estimates, methods of working, constructability, change
Coordinating the design process and team(s) activities, and ensuring input from stakeholders
Facilitating a team of multi-discipline Designers and Engineers in the development of a fully detailed and approved detail design
Managing the procurement and expedition of equipment and materials
Liaising with planning dept to provide accurate resource and schedule information
Facilitating technical and project reviews and approvals
Supporting the construction and commissioning phases of the project
Defining the commissioning and training (operation and maintenance) procedures
Taking responsibility of the project(s) hand over and completion
Responsible for HSEQ engagement You’ll need…
Degree / HND or equivalent in a Control &/or Instrumentation &/or Electrical Engineering discipline
HSEQ qualification (i.e., IOSH)
5 years’ recent experience in an equivalent role
Experience in a COMAH Tier 1 process manufacturing environment
Experience in maintenance, shutdown / outage, project, OPEX & CAPEX
Experience of all major engineering disciplines – mechanical, structural, piping, EC&I, civil, process, etc.
Experience of all commercial processes – estimating, budget, programme
Strong IT skills – MS Office, drafting tools, document databases, specialist engineering design tools
Proficiency in risk management
Proficiency in budget management
Team leadership and management skills
Planning and scheduling skills
Strong presentation skills You’ll be at an advantage if you have…
Level 4 Project Control / Management qualification
CompEx – ExF (Foundation) or Ex01-04 (Gas & Vapours), Ex05-06 (Dust), or Ex12 (Application Design Engineers)
Functional Safety, IEC61508 – TUV or equivalent
BS7671:2018 IET Wiring Regulations – C&G2382-15 or equivalent
