Salary: £26,000 per year
Our client a secondary school in Taunton are looking for a dedicated EAL Learning Support Assistant Lead to provide tailored support to their pupils. You will be committed to making a positive difference to pupils lives, and in supporting and developing their learning.
The successful candidate will be required to work with small mixed ability groups and also individuals teaching basic skills through both key stages, developing their English Language skills, and supporting students in the classroom with a particular focus on English and Maths.
You will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and technical skills. You will have the ability to effectively support learning and teaching, and to develop relationships across the school.
You will have:
- TESOL qualification or equivalent
- An education standard equating to GCSE grade 4 or above in 5 subjects including Maths, English and Science
- A qualification relevant to supporting the learning process in schools.
- Experience of working with EAL children in a school setting.
- The ability to maintain positive relationships with pupils and other adults.
- The ability to work with pupils on a one to one, small groups and whole class.
This role is a temporary position, working 35 hours per week, term time. GBP10.38ph.
