Domestic Gas Engineer

Salary: £300 – £420 per day

Example Recruitment Group are currently recruiting on behalf of a national heating contractor operating within the private sector.

They require self-employed heating engineers for an ongoing contract in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

Engineers working on the contract currently earn on average between £300 – £420 per day carrying out between 6-8 jobs.

All appointments are pre-booked via a tablet (provided) with guaranteed work all year round.

Contract Details

Locations required below – engineers will ONLY work in the patch most local to them (based on home postcode):

Patch 1 – Edinburgh central

Patch 2- Musselburgh, Dunbar, Dalkeith, Penicuk

Patch 3 – Peebles, Galashiels, Berwick, Borders South

Work Type: Annual services (safety check), Landlord gas safety records, breakdowns – service only option may be available.​​​​​​​

Commitment: Minimum of set 3 days per week. Up to 5 days available plus weekends and evening call out available at enhanced rates.

Contract Length: Long term ongoing.

Payment terms: Weekly.

Rates:

Servicing: £26.00 per appliance

Repairs: £50 per complete (full van stock and parts are supplied)

Contract requirements:

– Van (plain or sign written)

– Domestic ACS incl. CKR1 & HTR1

– Gas Safe Registration

– Calibrated Flue Gas Analyser

– £2m Public Liability Insurance

– Clean DBS
