The Company
A National provider of Facilities and Property related services are looking for a fully qualified Domestic, Commercial and Catering Gas Engineer to join its Durham team.
The company has been in operation for almost 100 years and They currently service a national portfolio of clients ranging from healthcare and education to leisure, banking, retail and government. Typically they focus on mechanical and electrical maintenance but also turn their hand to security, refurb and building maintenance and currently employ over 500 employees ranging from engineers to admin support.

The Role
Due to the increase in work a Gas Engineer is now needed to help service current and future clients. The role will mainly be all commercial work such as pubs restaurants and bars but some domestic work may be involved hence a Gas Engineer with Commercial, Domestic and Catering qualifications is needed. The role of Gas Engineer will involve carrying out maintenance and service to boilers, SMS safety testing of catering appliances and kitchens (no service just safety checks), air monitoring etc. Overtime is unrestricted and a typical basic working week is 40 hours. The role will be mobile around the Durham area therefore a vehicle will be provided as will test equipment and larger tools.
The Candidate
As mentioned an engineer with full commercial and domestic gas tickets is essential and the successful candidate will have 12 months left to run on them.
Catering tickets are also required with a minimum of units 1& 3 needed again with 12 months left to run on them.
Oil and LPG is advantageous
A full clean licence is required due to the mobile nature of the role
Someone who is motivated, has a ‘can do approach’ would be the best fit for this position.
