Domestic Abuse Support Worker
Job Description
We a recruiting for an experienced Support Worker for an organisation in Leeds to work with women suffering from domestic abuse. This position is a long term temporary contract initially, with the potential of becoming a permanent job.
The organisation put their clients at the heart of what they do and are continually striving to make the survivors experience the very best it can be whilst accessing their services.
You will work as part of a pro-active well-coming team who will help provide support to you within the position.
The aim of this role is to design and deliver group work programmes as well as recovery and resilience for adults who have experienced domestic abuse or sexual violence. This role will also work closely with key partners in the development and delivery of support programmes in schools, community centres and youth services, aimed at raising awareness and providing tools, for children and young people to build resilience, confidence and understanding around positive relationships.
