Salary: £66,000 – £74,400 per year

Divisional Finance Manager

Location: Hybrid – Work from Home + York and/or Altrincham Office

£55,000 to £62,000 + Car/Car Allowance + Bonus

About the Role

Reporting to the Divisional Finance Director, this is a fantastic opportunity to drive performance and add real value to our business while partnering with key stakeholders. Working in an agile working environment, this is a hybrid role based at our York and/or Altrincham Office with a mix of remote working and travel to visit our sites across the North.

  • Assist the Divisional Finance Director in driving the effective financial and workflow performance of the division and delivery of the business plan
  • Ensure accurate financial and KPI reporting in line with the Group’s accounting policies and processes
  • Provide decision support and business partnering for both the development and sales functions held within the division
  • To ensure accuracy of financial systems and reporting including management accounts, monthly forecasts, reconciliations, divisional performance pack and project level information
  • Review of development WIP costs and departmental operating costs, recommending accruals/prepayments and recodes as necessary
  • Work closely with the head office finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and tax records are held for the division, as well as ensuring all group reporting requirements are satisfied
  • Assist the Divisional Finance Director with the preparation of the division’s annual budget and 3-year business plan, together with the monthly forecasts

About You

  • Professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong commercial awareness and an ability to build relationships with senior managers
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic to move forward and develop their finance career in an operational environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with a sound understanding of financial systems
  • Ideally you will come from a housebuilding/construction background however this is not essential
