At Educated Appointments, we have been asked to assist our client to recruit for a Digital Marketing Manager within further education. The company, who are an Ofsted Grade 2 training provider, offer apprenticeships, traineeships and commercial training across the country. They are a long established business within the FE sector.
The Digital Marketing Manager role requires somebody who is extremely creative, understands how to utilise programmes to market digitally and can own, shape and execute the digital B2B and B2C marketing strategy.
The client are particularly interested to speak to candidates who have extensive knowledge of marketing strategies, channels and branding. They are also looking for somebody with experience of using digitial marketing tools, such as email markeitng, social media scheduling and paid advertising.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Multichannel marketing campaigns
– Developing multichannel marketing campaigns across web, social and email that meet business objectives and focus on different audience types. The Marketing Manager has ownership of the strategy and execution of always-on marketing and campaigns.
– Writing content, with support from a digital marketing executive, for campaigns and always-on content
– Managing the design and production of promotional materials, such as websites and brochures
– Managing paid advertising across digital channels
– Work with third-party agencies (where required)
Digital Marketing Strategy
– Ownership of the digital marketing strategy, ensuring it evolves with changing business objectives and goals
– Manage the scheduling and delivery of a marketing calendar that holds all future marketing activities
Website management
– Work with the IT team to manage the website to ensure it is effective, engaging and up to date
– Ensuring the website is optimised for SEO
Cross-team collaboration
– Work closely with the sales team to support them in content requirements required in the sales process eg. social media posts
– Understand challenges faced by the sales team
Reporting and Insights
– Update senior leadership on the progress of marketing activities and reporting on the results of campaigns
– Researching and analysing market trends and competitors
– Demonstrating the ROI for marketing activities
PR & Internal Communications
– Support with outward-facing PR and internal comms
– Overseeing the company’s attendance at events and trade shows
– Ensure consistency in the use of the brand
Management, oversight and budgets
– Responsible for marketing budget
– Manage and support the performance of a digital marketing executive
– Responsible for suite of marketing tools
– Negotiating and liaising with third-party marketing agencies and suppliers
– Fully co-operate with the company in implementing its policy for Equality and Diversity
