Salary: £26,000 – £36,504 per year
We are looking for a Despatch Operative to join our client’s team to organise finished goods to meet customer delivery requirements in Chippenham.
As a Despatch Operative the role would involve.
* Carry out despatch duties in a safe, consistent, and reliable manner
* Ensure finished goods are packed, ready for despatch, and all relevant paperwork is completed correctly and available as required
* Load vehicles safely and according to instructions
* Maintain forklift in good working order
* Operate the pallet wrapping machine
* Identify areas for improvement and put forward new ideas
* Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices
* Maintain good housekeeping
* Previous manufacturing experience preferred
* Forklift Truck License preferable but not essential as full training will be provided
* Work on own initiative and as part of a team
* Ability to work under pressure
* Excellent communication skills
* The ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently
* Numeracy and literacy
* Ability to work according to instructions
WORKING HOURS:
Monday to Friday working 40 hours per week on a rotating double-day shift pattern 6::00 to am-14:00 /14:00 to 22:00. Candidates may be required to work outside of these hours, when necessary, especially in busy periods.
