Design Technician

Salary: £26,000 – £34,320 per year

BIM Recruiter is working with a highly reputable engineering consultancy specialised in the design of temporary works and scaffolding structures across the UK.

Our client is working on major infrastructural, commercial and industrial construction/ engineering projects and has an immediate need for an Engineering Draughts person/ Technician/ Modeller for an immediate start.

With offices in London, Glasgow or Chester, this role can be delivered from any of these locations, but equally so given the nature of the position, the role could be delivered remotely from home in the UK.

Candidate Profile:

* Experienced CAD Technician (AutoCAD 2D and 3D) with experience of Revit and ideally Microstation

* Experience in BIM Coordination, Clash Detection

* Experience of structural draughting for Temporary Works and Permanent Works, ideally including scaffolding

* Knowledge and experience of civil engineering projects to include civil layouts, road layouts, road alignments junction design, existing service layout and DMRB standards

* Swept Path Analysis

* This role will involve supporting in the training and development of more junior CAD/ Draughts people in the business

* Building and maintaining in house CAD block library
