A market leader within the extractor fans and heaters for consumer market seek a Design Engineer to join them on a permanent basis in West Sussex.

The Design Engineer will work within the new products and markets team, generating solutions to product design problems from concept to production and be responsible for;

· The design ventilations equipment i.e fans and heat recovery products. Creation of 3D CAD models of these designs.
· To assemble physical prototypes in the Crawley Laboratory
· Experience of designing plastic injection moulded parts, some with complex curved shapes
· Design sheet metal components, build parts into assembles, some complex, comprising of hundreds of components and many subassemblies.
· To carry out FEA analysis and manage any subcontracted FEA and CFD work

To be considered for the position of Designer you will;

· Be proficient in using a high end 3D Cad package ie; Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, Pro-E, NX Cad etc.
· Experience of designing domestic or commercial appliances, including both plastic and sheet metal components.
· Some experience of FEA and CFD software
· Experience in product development role, designing for large batch and flow manufacture
· Qualified to HND level or higher

This Mechanical Design Engineer opportunity based in the South East of England is offering a salary of c£42,000.
